A Chev-In the right direction

The 2nd  of the CSI training events took place on 23rd / 27th February when Mike Short imparted his geological knowledge and led his fellow volunteers on a tour of the Chevin Forest Park Geology Trail on Otley Chevin.  This whistle stop tour took in about 315 million years of the area’s geological history. So if you want to know your cross bedding from your soft sediment deformation, and your variscan orogeny from your Pennine anticline then just ask a CSI Volunteer!

Thanks Mike, and to all those who attended the events.
